Admission Requirements

Students must:

  • Be 18 years of age prior to the start date of the course
  • Be a high school graduate or equivalent
    (including Grade 12 English with a “C” minimum grade)
  • Be physically fit to perform the practical skills components of the training
  • Provide medical note indicating as required by Champions Fire College
  • Hold a valid driver’s license
  • Have clear criminal record
  • Possess Standard First Aid Certification and CPR Level C or Medical First Responder
  • Provide copy of certificate as required by Champions Fire College and specific NFPA Standards
  • Purchase or obtain current edition of NFPA Manuals required for the course, including IFSTA or Jones and Bartlett Manuals
