Description

This 20-hour course is designed to help prepare students for the Wildland Firefighter I examination and is the full version of the S-131 Firefighter Type I and S-133 Look up, Look down, Look around, as required by the National Wildfire Coordinating Group (NWCG).

Course Length:

4 weeks (20 Hours)

Prerequisites:

Satisfactory performance as a Firefighter Type 2 (FFT2)
Successful position performance as a Firefighter Type 1 (FFT1) on a wildfire incident

Accredited Certification Level:

Successful course completion qualifies student to take the Wildland Firefighter I certification exam. You are required to take your Champions Fire College Certificate of Course Completion and complete a certification exam and skills evaluation as provided by Champions Fire College in accordance with the requirements of your province or state.
